Hand held? I know you are honest as anyone can be and this is outstanding. Not only a skill factor and techbically excellent but the opposite stroke of their wings and the visable tail feather spread, background. If you can't tell I love this... well...

The action is sharp, the exposure is spot on and the dark grey sky creates a perfect backdrop. :toast:

Superb composition, but for me what takes this above the usual Tern flight shots is the gray sky in the BG contrasting with the subjects.

Wings up and Wings down - a nice mirror image by these birds and the background color works well as it doesn't overpower the birds
