Nice level shot of this beautiful BF. Looks like the focus is spot on the BF and I would guess you could extract a ton of detail from the wing and body. A nice palette of colors with the purple sort of being an unexpected surprise. Looks like its tongue is out and sipping the nectar from the flower. I might reduce the intensity of the yellow/gold in the BG as it tends to steal some of the attention from the butterfly.

Consummate composition and colouring, Scott, and fine detail and texture in the b/f. Love that yellow bg - no nits from me.

Beautiful detail & color, Scott. Particularly good that you got the body against the green - I don't know if it would have been as effective if the BG was entirely yellow.

Outstanding image, Scott. Excellent placement of the BG colors relative to the fly, as has already been said. I also like that there is a fair clearance between the flower and the butterfly. Often they seem to be perched lower.

Exquisite, stunning and mesmerizing. The butterfly and the BG really work well together. Can't find anything wrong with any of it but if I had to come up with something it would probably the OOF flower perch. But that is so minor I hesitate to even mention it. Great job!

Great colors with the bg, flower and swallowtail. I love the profile with body detail. I seem to always get them from above.

Great job of color coordinating with the background, Scott. The BF is poke-in-the-eye sharp.

Wonderful image of this creature. BG could be toned down, but it is still very strong and exciting.
