Big Lake sunset
by Mark Seaver
Spent last week visiting my daughter in Edmonton and managed to escape family responsibilities to catch this sunset over Big Lake (near the northwest corner). I'm amazed at how long the sunsets are when you're this far north, this is about 30 minutes after sundown and the colors lasted for nearly another half hour. This is a 5 vertical shots combined into a pano in PS and processed with TK's triple plays and some luminosity painting. 11 commentsI can relate to the long sunsets in the northern hemisphere in the summer months. It's the complete opposite in the winter.
I spent two years in Alaska and much of that north of the Arctic Circle.
