Impressionistic Redwoods

I had a good time today with this WC, trying the vertical tree motion shots that I've seen others do. It was foggy, so not too much contrast in the redwoods. I like some of the squiggly lines and the hint of the bark you can see.

Canon 5d,m3, ISO100, f/5.6, 2 sec., 17-40 wide angle at 38mm.

Comments and critiques welcome, and thanks in advance.

Kathy you hit on one thing I like in these motion shots and that is one specific element (the bark here) that is close to actuality. Very good weekly challenge and image overall IMO.

Great image, Kathy! Lots of very cool elements to this abstract. While we can recognize what this is in reality, the softness and diffusion from the camera movement gives this image a painterly and other-worldly feel. I like the line of light brown along the bottom. . .it makes a great base for the darker brown trunks and the green background of distant trees. The variety of textures is also quite intriguing--from the grass at the bottom, to the bark on the tree trunks, and on through the green background. Perfect for the challenge.
