This is a Galapagos Giant Tortoise with one of the many types of Finches in the Galapagos Islands.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Nice! A lower angle would have bumped this up to perfect. :toast:

Wouldn't the lower angle have merged the head of the Finch with the leg of the Tortoise???

Nice to see the two species together like this Carol, the bird lends a good sense of scale to the Giant Tortoise. The overcast lighting works well with the dark subjects. I can see the potential for a variety of other compositions, either tight close ups or wider shots with these two. I particularly like the appearance of the almost burnished appearance of the tortoise's heavy scutes and scales.

Very nice image! Excellent detail. I especially like the pose of the tortoise and the position of the bird in the frame.

The juxtaposition of tiny finch and giant tortoise make for a visually compelling capture. My wish would have been for a bit lower perspective to avoid cropping some of the mass of that big shell.
