Zabriske point is a fascinating place that I enjoyed when we had a short stop over in DV last April. This is my take on the 'Manly Beacon'. Comments very welcome. Chet

Nice color contrast here, Chet. The larger version appears to be suffering from compression, but the smaller version looks good. The textures are really cool.

I like this, as well. I agree with Zack in that the large version is suffering from compression. The foreground color looks really good, but the valley and mountains in the background look a touch cyan-heavy to me. Also, the blacks look a little heavy: can you pull any more detail out the dark areas? I like the nice textures in the 'beacon' and the surrounding hills.

I really like DV: It's very 'other-worldly'.

The color, folds, and detail of the terrain look great. I'm less pleased with the rather neon blue for the BG though.

Chet, an always popular venue at DVNP to visit and photograph. This truly is an iconic view from this POV. I really like the composition but would maybe take the time to make a couple changes as suggested by others. I think changing the cyan in the BG would be a real plus. Also, maybe try bringing up the blacks if possible here and there. Otherwise a very solid composition and photo. :cool:

Chet, very nice comp, color and detail, the BG throws me a bit, but easily fixable. I like it overall. Well done.
