Only light and shade & Repost

I am back from an holidays spent without the camera because it is broken. While waiting for news about the problem from Nikon assistance I will go fishing in the archive in the folder named 'For post-processing'.
In this photo the stark contrast of the image asked me to work for enhancing only the lights and the shades, lowering the details for a simpler composition. What do you think about this type of photo?

D700, Nikkor 200mm macro - f/22 and ISO 200

I will be very glad to read some opinions about the photo. Thanks.

Gigi, I think the Calla Lily is superb. My personal taste would be to remove all the white streaks on the RHS.

Gigi - I really like this flower and the the fine lines radiating from the pivot. Great work on the whites - just perfect.

Only suggestion is in line with what Phil said, revisit the white streaks on the right hand side and perhaps make them all go away.

The repost is amazing, Gigi. One of the best floral images of the year, IMO. My only suggestion would be to delete it and then repost it as a new image.

A superbly composed and executed image of great sensuousness, Gigi, for which my only suggestion might be to bring a touch more light to the stem ( though I appreciate you may not have wanted that, to keep the light/dark balance )
