A beautiful capture here Kedar, I really like the POV and perch plus the two toned BG with the bug against the brighter part of the BG. A couple of questions though, how close were you and was this cropped at all? I only ask because the subject seems pretty small in the frame. With a 105mm macro on a D800 I would think you could fill the frame more. Not sure what the minimum focusing distance in on your lens but when I'm shooting macro (with a 60mm macro on a cropped sensor body) if the bug allows I can pretty much get right on top of them. Obviously a tripod is highly recommended.

I rather like the minimalist feel of this composition, Kedar. The insect and its twig stand out perfectly for me on the variegated bg. Lovely image !!

I like the way the tiny red bug is isolated and dwarfed by the contrasting green/dark bg. Good job isolating the little fellow, Kedar.

Very nice shot, which I like as is. By picturing him this small, not only do you make him look tiny in a big world, but you also give space for the twig and the negative space...which I find positive
Lovely!
