Blue and Gold
by Bill Leggett
A many of you know, the Pickerelweed flourishes in swamplands. I had no luck with tree frogs or spiders this morning in Jean Lafitte NP, so I turned my attention to these blooms. Some might consider the BG a bit overpowering, but this is how it presented itself with the blooms in subdued shaded light and the BG in brightness. I did no color enhancement (vibrancy or saturation), pretty much straight out of the raw file with a bit of brightening. Cropped to 3:2 aspect from 4/3rds original. Larger image included.

Take care.
The luminosity of the background (which is of a complementary color as well) works very well to highlight the main subject.
