Ok, so here's the follow up image to my "Garbage Bear" pic posted here. After climbing onto the garbage can, he began scratching at the opening mechanism and chewing it. After attempting this several times without success he eventually got off the garbage can and left. Glad to know these bear-proof garbage cans work!!

Thanks for lookin'! :wavey:

Jenaya, these 2 photos certainly tell the story and show the need for bear proof containers! Exposures are right on. I was wondering if you could have taken a shot more in front of the bear to show more of the locking device? Also, there seems to be something glaring right in front of the bear, which I find distracting. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to see more of the environment, were others watching the bear/ How close were they/ How close was the bear to cars and such? Then you could have a more complete story.

Thanks for the comments!

Carl - I could not have included the environment because I was already at the minimum focal length on my lens. To answer your questions; yes there was one other group watching briefly, but they didn't stay long; both us and the other group were in our vehicles in the parking lot.
