Thank you for your comments on my recent Ghost Forest image.

This one was made in early November of 2012 in Yosemite Valley. The low water level and slow flow made for great reflections.

Chamonix 4x5
Nikkor-M, 300mm
8 second exposure on Astia 100F
Cropped from the bottom to square.

Please see the large version.

Your comments/ critiques are always welcomed.

The first thing that comes to mind, is the quiet peaceful mood the scene evokes, the light, color, stillness of the water, your perspective, everything about this pretty little scene works beautifully. It very much holds my interest, and that is a good thing. Beautiful work Preston.

Nice little fall scene. It looks like it could use a little warming up?

Agree with others, nice job. I feel like I am standing on the edge of the water.

One of my favorites of yours PB - this is wonderful. It's also great too simply because of what you crafted from one the most popular and iconic spots in Yosemite. Literally just off the frame to the right is the pullout of for Valley View, or Gateway to the valley.

I love everything about this.

The light is stunning here Preston. Looks like I could walk right into the scene.

So pretty and peaceful. Love the splash of color in the leaves and, as you mentioned, the reflections. I hope the fire out there misses all this beauty.

Wonderful intimate shot. Love the placement of the rocks in the frame - creates nice, balanced comp. The soft light allowed some great details in the shadows. Large view a treat!

Nice, natural rendition here Preston. I like the V shape created by the rocks surrounding the middle shrub
