New daylight
by Tareq Alhamrani
This is my first photo to show here, wanted to start with a photo from my country, and i chose this one because i like it.
This shot was taken on the second day of our religious occasion called "Eid Al Adhha" [greater Bairam] back in 2009, i decided to take my family out on that day, and no better place for sunrise than our eastern area [Dibba to Kalba passing Fujairah], so i planned to drive there very early in the morning, family were still sleeping in the car, and i arrived almost 20 minutes before the sunrise.

6 commentsNice first post! I really like the sky and the water. I do have a couple of suggestions, though. First, there is a white spot on the large boulder in the lower right foreground that catches my eye: you might want to clone that out. Second, I'd like to see a bit more detail in the darker areas. I like the smooth rocks and the metallic sheen from the reflected light.

I agree with you about that white spot, my mistake that i didn't clone it when i worked on this photo.
About the darker areas, well, i did work on that but i didn't get nice details out of it, so i went with something closer to silhouette, i knew this will be one of the comments but i liked this way more than when i opened an exposure a bit for darker areas, i will re-edit it later and post it here.
Thanks!
Thank you very much, Tony!!!
