Solitude
by Brian Donovan
With a snowstorm preventing travel on most roads out of Reykjavik, I didn’t manage to get very far before exceeding the capabilities of my little rental car. With limited options, I decided to spend the day photographing this picturesque winter scene as the storms passed overhead. This 6-shot panorama was taken in the early afternoon at a calm point between snowfalls. At the end of the day I got 3 shots that I feel really characterized the rapidly changing weather and the lighting of the short winter days in Iceland. I’ll post the other 2 in the coming days.
