I tried several different shots and times with this beautiful spot and will share some of them. this was taken at sunrise. It takes a little while for the sun to get over the mountains to the north. Not everyone stuck around for the best light. Forest fires to the west caused the mountains to look soft most of the time. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Impossible to get great shots with smoke in the air.

Hi Richard, This is a beautiful view! The smoke didn't help any here but you worked with what you had. Regardless, I enjoy this scene very much. It has a softly quiet mood.

The smoke adds a nice quiet mood to this Richard and a very nice scene. Well done.

Smoke adds a "summer haze" that seems appropriate for this scene. It has a natural and very peaceful feel to it

Richard, I really, really like the natural and realistic look of this. I am tired of seeing over-saturated, super-contrasted images. I am on a word-processing monitor, so I can't really say much about color or contrast, but the trees in the FG are pretty dark on this monitor. I would prefer that they were a bit lighter. Otherwise, though, I like it. Makes you feel like you're there.
