You really need to look at the large version of this one to appreciate all it is. The texture of the tree is awesome, the bird is excellent too, looks like it spotted something in the bark. He seems to merge with the tree just a little too much, probably not a whole lot you can do to make it better though.

Sweet Action Basri!

Interesting image. The birds behavior is very interesting. There seems to be a pretty heavy cyan / blue cast to the image. When I looked at the larger version to understand it, I also noted that there is no embedded color profile which will cause unpredictable viewing results for your viewers.

A good action shot. The action is great and the "camo" with the shade of the tree is interesting. The Hawk seems a bit soft on my monitor and I wonder if your focal point was on the tree and not the bird, or if it is just a bit of movement in the bird.

Love this one for the wealth of interesting textures in the tree and the array of feathers. I agree with the observations on sharpness and color balance. He's really clinging to the tree, another cool aspect of this one!!!~

Basri, i had to open up the larger version just to try and work out what is going on here. The mixture of hawk with splayed wings and the dead wood of the tree is almost like a sculpture.
Wonderful tones and textures :toast:

Indeed a must-open-the-larger-version-image ! Nicely done - agree with Keith's comment on the blueish cast. Cheers, Hans

Really strong graphics in this shot, Basri. The lines of the tree and the bird really work well together. I do wish the head were a touch sharper.

Unusual composition. At first I thought the tree distracted from the bird but then it began to look like an integrated image. Amazing feathers.
