Ticino Sunrise

It's been a while since I posted here - mostly because I haven't been shooting at all for quite some time. On two recent trips, I've been able to take a few photos that I'd like to share.

This one here was taken on a hike in the Swiss mountains. I spent the night in a small hut and was therefore able to capture sunrise from a mountain pass with great views all around.

Nikon D90, 16-85 AF-S DX VR, tripod, blend of two exposures.

great viewpoint, Basil. too bad not more clouds would show up... the alpenglow looks pretty subdued to me, wonder whether it would benefit from a bit more contrast

Very nice scene here Basil and I like the view into the distant mountains. I agree with Karsten about a little more contrast to bring out the backround more. Very nice.

I too would like to see a little boost in the alpenglow color.
