Sunset Kayaker WC602

My friend Daniel and I paddled out to Dove Key at sunset while we were in the Florida Keys a couple years ago. This is Daniel pausing to admire the sunset.
This image was made 2 days after my camera was damaged by saltwater that got into in a leaky dry bag. It still took photos, but only a few switches worked. I could not change the ISO and as I remember, I could operate in auto or change either aperture or shutter speed, but not both.

Very nice idea here, Paul. I like the calm thoughts it brings out looking at this moment in time.
Again, a nice scene to view.

Very peaceful image, Paul. Makes one wish to be out on that kayak, enjoying the sunset. I like your comp with the kayaker facing into the image and the relaxed pose of the kayaker. The red kayak really pops against the more dark, neutral colors. However, if this were mine, I would have tried to pull more of the sunset colors out of the visible sky. Hope your camera situation improved, either repair-wise, or a good excuse to get a new camera. A leaky dry bag is not good. . .

Love the mood of this shot, Paul. It's a very relaxing scene that I can easily imagine myself a part of.

Thanks to all for the comments. I the 40D was not repairable, but Canon has a Loyalty program that gives a credit for the unrepairable camera for whatever refurbished higher grade\newer cameras that they have available. So I got a really good deal on a 7D refurb.

The gentle reds and your composition work very nicely here, Paul. Looks like a great time to be out.
