Saw this scene while wandering the shoreline not far from home. Sort of a classic shore image but it has a peaceful mood to me. Is it too right heavy?

Terrific image, Bill. I really like the rugged coastline and the way you composed it to lead toward the drama in the sky. For me the exposure is great to capture the mood of the evening shore. :toast: Chet

Love the forms and detail in the rocks, Bill. One can clearly see individual mussels and seaweed fronds in the large image, with great shadows though. It might be a bit heavy, compositionally, on the right hand side, but perhaps actually cropping a bit on the left hand side to put even more emphasis on the rocks would work. Cropping at a line just to the left of that solitary lit rock near the lower left hand corner, giving something close to 4x5 aspect ratio might be one suggestion. Either way, love that warm light and those rocks.

What a pretty scene Bill, you definitely captured a peaceful mood, and the comp works very well for me. Beautiful color, love the rocky shore line, all and all, excellent work.

Nope, not in my opinion. There are enough highlights in the rocks to hold my eye. Nicely done.

Lots of details to savor in this rugged coastal scene, Bill. They really shine in the large version with he textures in the rocks along with the sea life clinging to them. What really completes the scene for me is that crashing wave in the MG of the image. Being a bit heavy to the right doesn't bother me, but I could also see Vance's crop suggestion working. Either way this is a winner IMO.
