Afternoon Break Time - Saw these fellas "chilling" a few years ago in New York City. The clock in the background shows it to be almost 2PM.

Great capture, Lucy! A sense of place is important in a photo like this, and you've established it perfectly. You seem to have vignetted the image, thereby increasing the viewer's focus on the main "action" -- a good touch. A very successful street shot.

The clarity is outstanding, Lucy and the colors really pop. Great "street" scene. I like the vignette also, although it would be interesting to see it toned down a bit.

Nice human interest street photo, Lucy. Was the vignetting caused by hiding the camera under your coat so they wouldn't see you photographing them?

Well captured street scene, Lucy! Good comp of the three cops and the street environment. The lighting is good and the vignetting works great to focus our attention. I like the great mixture of colors; the cops stand out nicely against the white car, and the red and yellow help enliven the background. I also like the fact that no faces of the cops are visible, as well as the person they are talking to. . .adds to the neutralness of this shot. One could make an interesting story out of just this scene.
