Fall Crocus II

Sorry it took so long to post this second shot. I lost internet access for a few days, then got busy on other things.

5Diii, 180mm f3.5 macro, tripod, f7.1, 1/640, iso 1600, Av mode with no compensation. Processed in CS6 and cropped to 12.1 MP to reduce the dark area on the bottom and some foreground oof blooms in the lower left corner. I also desaturated the bg blooms a bit. Taken September 12th under cloudy skies.

Your comments and criticisms are most appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Very nice soft colours. I like the lines and the composition a lot.

Most elegant, almost abstract image, Dennis, which I like a lot. Lovely, soft overall handling, fine textural detail and a bold use of the bare stems to provide visual interest.

I like the soft, contrasting colors, Dennis. Interesting, original comp decision to feature the stems and bottoms of the flower blossoms. Well done.

Looks like a nice patch of flowers Dennis. I think for me I would clone out the stem on the far left right at the edge of the frame. Nice color and lines.

Dennis - Very well done with some nice pastel shades there. Like Nathan, I too think the stem touching the left bottom edge can go but its not so material.

A very nice comp. Very artistic. And, the soft pastel color and lighting make for a very lovely image.
