Matanuska Glacier, lined by the deep, vibrant colors of fall. Being the first one we passed by on our trip, I was surprised at the scale of these ice monsters!
(This is the second image from the Alaska Trip series. I'll try to keep them in sequence, as we flew from Anchorage to Colorado.)
Our position here is northeast of Anchorage, just south of the North Glenn Highway. This massive ice river was the first of many to decorate our route eastwards into Canada. My last post showed some higher peaks, and not a ton of color, but as we progressed farther on our track the colors gradually got more and more saturated. It really is an amazing landscape out there!
Edited in RAW. Not a lot of processing except for adding contrast/color that was detracted by the airplane window. I am thinking that I actually could add more color (it was unbelievably vibrant), but am paranoid about over-processing images, so I want to hear your thoughts on it. More saturation?

ISO 400 --- f/4.5 --- 1/640 sec. --- handheld --- as someone pointed out earlier, I did have a filter...the airplane window :/
