Lamar Valley Bison

On my recent trip to Yellowstone, I found the bison the most difficult animal to photograph. It is difficult catching them doing anything but standing, laying down or eating. It is also very difficult to get good definition on the eyes. So, this was at least something different and I could see the eyes.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Technically very well done Jerry and you made the most of the opportunity available. The photo works pretty well due to the visibility and sharpness of that eye. Not too sure about the presence of that stump in the background, a minor distraction at most though.

Jerry,
Whilst I have never seen a Bison, this lopks pretty good to me, and incorporates one of my favourite things a different pose

Good exposure, IMO. I, too, wondered about the stump, wishing it did not intersect with his body.
