Tropical Elegance

This shot was taken in February 2013 in Panama City. I was high up above the tree line at the Smithsonian Institutes Canopy Crane when a pair of Keel-billed Toucans landed on a tree.

I am aware I got the apartments in the background overlooking Metropolitan Park creeping in to the photo. I however seem to like the suggestion of Toucans flying in the wild unimpeded by an urban setting, so I did not clone the apartments out. Photo was cropped and edited in Adobe Photoshop and Bridge.

Took the title 'Tropical Elegance' from an album of a Spanish band Bomba Estereo. Nothing to do with the content of the music. Just my favorite tune at the moment.

Interesting birds, John but the apartments in the background just grab my eye too strongly.
