Pikes Peak from a ridge above Woodland Park, CO. A winter storm came through over the weekend and dropped temperatures but didn't drop much snow. This is a morning shot that had a surprising amount of haze, so I used a polarizer to eliminate as much as possible before processing.

Nikon D600
Nikon 70-200 f2.8 @ 140mm
1/25 second @f8, ISO 100
Tripod, mirror locked up
Single image processed in Lightroom

That's a great viewpoint Russ, happy to see a different comp than what you typically see of this peak. I love the light and shadow on the mountain with the great clouds in the background. My only suggestion might be to brighten it up a bit, especially the sky as I think the polarizer had some effect especially in the URC. The colors also seem a little cool for sunrise which is also probably caused a bit by the polarizer.

Beautiful light and pretty view. This needs to be viewed large for the detail and depth. Very well done.

A grand view indeed. Some desat. of the blues might give a little more natural feel, in addition to lightening as mentioned. I do like the sharp contrast.

I agree with Scott's assessment, Russ. This could be brightened and warmed up some. Just be careful that the whites in clouds don't go goofy on you. Nice comp, and a great scene.
