First of all, Thanks to everyone who commented on my previous image, Fortissimo

Fortissimo was taken at sunset as storms rolled through; this image is from sunrise that morning. I could hear distant thunder rumbling on the horizon as storms were building. The light from sunrise was diffused from clouds along the eastern horizon resulting in much more subtle lighting. I have some non-standard compositions that I will post sometime soon.

This was taken from a slightly different viewpoint. I was thankful to be there when there were some great clouds.

Techs:
21mm
f5.6 @ 1/10 sec
ISO 100

Processing consisted of TK's luminosity and saturation masking. I am striving for a natural look in my processing.

All honest comments and critiques are welcome. :wavey:

Hi Brian - That sky is gorgeous and the larger version is a must see to appreciate the details and textures of the landscape. For some reason the larger view is much better in general.

I hope you understand, but I need to move this due to the trail / path visible in your image.

The large version allows this grand scenic to show all of it's goodness, Brian. Excellent detail, color, and exposure. Very well done my friend!

I totally agree on the larger one having far more impact than that accounted for by size. Is it a tish brighter perhaps?

I've never been to this location, and I would like to go sometime. That road (or trail?) between the rocky prominences and the river....is that accessible? I'm sure it's too late, but I like to see a snaking river without intrusions of land jutting into the water, and that road looks like a good vantage point, unless of course it's too low, and then, heck what do I know? I've never been there. :toast:

Nice shot all the way around. I think I liked Fortissimo better, but this is a pleasure.
