Fall Color

The colors are just starting to change here. On the prairie the colors aren't as dramatic as some areas of the country. One of the early changing and brighter plants is poison ivy. I shot this in a ravine under a large cottonwood tree this morning. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Lovely....the center warm with reds / yellows and dappled light ...then transition to edges with a darker softer view gives this harmony. I might clone that white twig-end on rt side. Well done.

Lovely, natural, simple composition, Richard, which allows the warm tones to stand out well against the cooler tones which frame them. I might even crop down over the oof leaves in the bg - a matter very much of personal preference.

Richard - Nice Autumnal scene. Not a great year for colors in Wisconsin compared to last year. Like the light here and how you tamed the highlights.

The two whitish spots near the center of the right edge might be re-looked into.

Beautiful early color against the still somber greens. The white stems(?) on the rhs are a little distracting but other than that, this is very nice.

I spent a decent chunk of time this summer fighting with the poison ivy on the place. One of the dogs and my brother-in-law are both allergic to it and got a bad dose of it early in the summer. Seeing this it makes me wish I'd left some. Beautiful photography. I particularly like the comp, light and processing. I would clone out the white dots as others have suggested.

Fine combination of color, shape and texture. I agree with Ken about the white end of twig.
