Autumn Blush

Scene photographed along the West Fork Trail, Oak Creek, Sedona, AZ last year. I was looking over locations that I liked from last year thought to give this un-worked image a go. Heading in again this Wednesday and am hoping I'm not too early. Specs are:
1/20sec@f14, 26mm, ISO100, tripod. Processed with LR, gaussian blur added in PS.

This is quite beautiful! The essence of autumn. The only suggestion I would add, IMHO, is to add a bit more contrast. The tonal range seems somewhat limited, and my eye is having some trouble distinguishing between the trees, creek, grasses, etc. However, this may simply be a stylistic issue. Nice work!

Bob, nice sense of depth to this scene. I do find the saturation on the reflected red a little distracting. If it were mine I might try a selective desaturation on the reflection alone. Well seen. :toast:

Truly dramatic collection of colors here and the textures are beautiful as well. Excellent capture

This is a nice scene, Bob. I agree that the saturation of the reds is too high. Also, the blur smudged the detail in the red tree in the background; at least to my eye. I like the comp and the general mood of the image, and with some minor tweaks it will make a nice print.

Beautiful palette! I too would tone the reds slightly, bu otherwise love the overall scene. I'll be there in a few weeks riding bicycles with a friend; I better bring the camera too!!

This photo conveys so much, it just puts you there and makes you meditate, I would not touch the reds as they fire up the scene.
Will be going to Vermont next week to see the Autumn, we don't have it here in Florida.
