Bison Calf with Mom

I captured this bison calf with mother this past spring in Yellowstone. I really like the perspective of this shot, but would enjoy your feedback and comments.

Tech info: Canon 7D, Canon 500 mm
1/500 sec at f/11 ISO 500

I agree with you Jack, I also like the perspective very much. I like seeing some detail in the distant hillside that gives a great sense of the environment the bison live in. Excellent in all respects.

Jack this is a wonderful image and I too like the very low perspective. It has wonderful detail and as Gary points out it also gives a great sense of their environment. I would have preferred just a little more room at the top of the frame, as I believe this may have strengthened the shot just a little more.

Jack, I love the angle and close portrait feel. Perhaps the contrast could be brought up a bit?

I like how well this shows of the enormous size difference as well as the sheer bulk of mum! Very intimate image with a great backdrop. I do wish the legs were visible. I might be tempted to work a bit on the eye of especially the adult to bring it out a bit better.
