Rainy Day Blues

by Rick Andrews

This young black bear was foraging for rose hips and Saskatoon berries when I came across him a few weeks ago in Waterton Lakes NP. It had just started raining and soon turned to wet snow, underlining the oncoming seasonal changes and the need for him to pack on those last few pounds before hibernation.

Comments, critique and suggestions always welcome.

Cheers
Rick

Beautiful Rick, I love when adverse conditions...the elements, are portrayed in wildlife images. I thought I was the only one who used spot metering

Excellent composition Rick! Very nice head turn and body posture, looking rather handsome and confident along the ridgeline. I like the atmosphere portrayed in the photo as well. Of course I had to check out the larger view and was not disappointed, very nice detail and sharpness on the bear! Top notch all the way Rick.

Rick, you captured a great pose here, and composed it well IMO. Good use of the manual exposure settings as well. :wavey:

Wonderful environment here. I love the texture created by the falling rain.
