I like this kind of super detailed shot. The mix of new and old cones plus the scattering of new and old pine needles works well. Images like this are challenging to see and harder to make work. Well done. My one thought would be to increase the separation of the new cones from the old ones, maybe through a saturation bump or possibly a subtle warming.

I like this natural collection & arrangement, Jim. Can't say I'd try to change anything beyond a bit of sat/contrast, but that's always personal taste. Wonderful find here.

Very appropriate image, both for the challenge and for this time of year. I like the mixture of light and dark cones, the sprinkling of pine needles, and the weed. Good comp as the areas that catch the viewers eye are nicely spaced out. While the gray tint may be realistic, I would be tempted to warm up this image just a bit, and possibly increase the saturation on some of the darker new cones.
