Light beam & Cottonwood

I almost missed a chance at this photo, due to work, but I managed to get into position just as the light beam formed. I had another destination in mind, but was more than happy to stop at this old cottonwood tree. I originally had a little more room between the beam and the tree, but I didn't move enough as the sun set. 7D, 3 exposure blend, partial crop. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

Please view the large image, as the colors seem off in the small version.

Rob, the colors in the sky are wonderful and they set off the tree silhouette nicely. The sun pillar is a great addition. You're right about needing to see the larger version to really appreciate the image.
