Second Beach Sunset

Taken at Second Beach in Washington State on the Olympic coast line. Using a Canon 5D Mark II. The original image had detail in the rocks I chose to put them in silhouette. Focal Length 58mm, F/11.3, Exposure time 1/2 sec. The image might need a counterclockwise rotation?

I like the warmth in the sky and the mood here, Larry. Ultimately it is up to you the photographer how you want to present your image, but I am thinking some detail would work better than a big block of silhouettes. I would be curious to see the original image for comparison.

Nice image from a beautiful area Larry. I like the comp with the diagonal line created by the sea stack. I don't mind the black shadows, but I feel like the whites in the sky and water are a little too bright. If you bracketed this scene and have a file with darker highlights in the sky and water, you could use that file and still push the shadows to black.

I think this is a good comp., but I do agree with the comments already posted.

I think the image is nice but has even more potential. With bracketed images allowing for more highlight detail and then just a touch of shadow detail this would go to another level. The Layer Style "Blend if"
might be the easiest way to do the blend. Does not feel tilted too much, maybe a hair CCW rotation.
