This shot is from my trip to Crater Lake earlier this year. I've seen many similar shots to this since taking it, but never as a panoramic format. I wish there were more trees like this overlooking the lake!

Canon 6D
Canon 16-35 L II
ISO 12,800
Photoshop CC

Thanks for looking!

BTW, how do I post web links into here? My links keep showing up as full HTML code and not links. Is there something I need to add for HTML in posts and signatures? Thanks!

Looks pretty balanced to me, and actually night like. Much better detail in the shadows in the large version. I like it that you can see the whole lake - an achievement in itself. We've seen that tree before I suspect, but never like this. Nice job. :toast:

Fine pano, Johan. I like everything in the photo. At first, I thought the old snag was too strong a draw, doing more than supporting the picture. Darn it though, I can't see the picture being nearly as good without it! I guess a little tension in an image is a good thing sometimes. :toast:

Captivating! Lovely light and enchanting. Nice to see the snag in a different perspective. One little nit... in a pano...it appears the snag was locked upon and is aligned from two frames...and the sky behind was allowed to float...the result: look just to the left of the snag for stars that are pairings...twins... It should be an easy fix. But, once found...it is hard to ignore.

A beautiful image of a beautiful place. Some people comment about shooting icons from places where others have shot them, but I feel that a great image is a great image. I really like this one.

Thanks for looking and giving feedback!

I didn't notice the doubled stars before, but now I can't NOT see them every time.
Easy fix though.

This is superbly done, Johan. Very natural looking and believable. I particularly like the milky way reflected in the water of the lake.
