Chrissy and I just got back from a whirlwind tour of western Washington and Oregon. We spent a couple of days at Mount Rainier and I did the obligatory pilgrimage to Reflection Lakes. I got my share of the iconic straight full reflection but also liked this half reflection with a bit of emphasis on the FG ice patterns. All comments welcome. >=))>

I find myself more interested in the patterns in the ice, and think you could have a really nice intimate shot of just that. The reflection is too disorienting, imo.

Very nice indeed Bill, I find that little patch of ice fascinating, along with the streak of light hitting it, add the mountain reflection, and everything comes together beautifully. Well done.

This is definitely disorienting with the strong, perfect reflection against the subtle ice patterns...has me wondering if I should stand on my head to view it. I expect that you did that on purpose. It's a neat and challenging view.

Love the feathers of ice in the fg. Lovely reflection as well.

The ice, with the nice light, is a really nice touch, Bill. Sets this apart from the standard Mt. R. reflection image.

Bizzare. Love it. It seems to even have a sense of humor about it! :toast:

Very nice idea on this one, Bill. The scene is an impressive one, but the half reflection makes for a very different look and feel here.

Nice thinking outside the box, Bill. I hope you also got some closeups of that beautiful light on those ice formations.
