Hello everyone! I just returned to Florida from a weekend in the Smokies and captured this early morning moment from the Newman's Gap overlook. I'm looking for feedback on the crop, tones, and post processing. This is probably the most difficult single-exposure photo I've ever attempted to process. Any and all suggestions and critiques are appreciated. Cheers! :toast:

Never heard of Newman's Gap, was it Newfound Gap? In any event, looks good to me. I like the transition from dark to light along the road. Cheers.

Yeah, this is a nice image. Something different. Love all the colored diagonals and the opposing silhouette. Others more knowledgeable than I regarding post processing might be able to comment better if you had left us with the tech info and a description of basically what you have done to it. Looks pretty good but I'll guess there are things you could still do.

Chris, you're right. I confused the name with a local lake (It was very early! ) Thanks for the insight both of you. Cheers!

Absolute perfection on the processing and a drop dead beautiful scene. I like the how you kept it fairly low contrast and let the ULC wash out a bit, it gives it a more dreamy look. :toast:

Awesome colors and light. I especially like the way the darkened diagonal foreground contrasts with the background colors. Thanks for posting, Dave

Jesse, this picture has a nice glow, and the road seems in the right spot. While it's nice how the trees fade away in the upper-left corner, it might be interesting to see what the photo would look like with that corner burned in a bit.

I love it Jesse. It looks like a painting and you handled the transition from light to darker very well. I like the darker zone in the bottom with just enough detail to be consistent with the rest of the photo. Love the soft smoky look.
