I captured this Common Grackle approaching a branch. It's not everyone's favorite bird, but I try to catch in flight shots when I can.
Canon 7D, 70-200L IS II, 1/2000sec, f/5.6, iso640, handheld and cropped for comp.

Nice shot. I like the landing pose, almost looks like the bird is attacking the stick. When the light hits these birds just right and brings out the iridescence they can be beautiful.
