Turk's Cap Lily

I was rummaging around through some of my old files and came across this image that I had never posted. It was taken several years ago in a local park after a rain shower. There were a lot of distracting elements around the flower so I did a close crop to eliminate them. I thought the border maybe helped give the flower some more "breathing room"?

Even though it was purely coincidental, I guess the colors in this image are very appropriate for a Halloween Day posting!

Panasonic DMC-FZ28. 48mm at F/3.7 for 1/60 sec. ISO 200.

Eye candy, indeed :toast: What a lovely lily you've captured here. You did need some air at the bottom, and I think your framing served you well. I might have weighted the bottom with a bit more frame and your signature.
Everything I want to see is in perfect focus! You've got it here -- great color and clarity.

Carolyn - Pretty punchy colors and great DOF to envelop the whole bloom. Considering the use of a small sensor camera the background is nicely controlled as well.

Absolutely stunning! The drops are just the right accent for this lovely bloom.
