Dahlia

I took this one two weeks ago (10/19) in the local public gardens as the dahlias were ending their show. This one still had nice form and color even though it was the end of the season. Single image in natural light taken at Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown, Oh., with D600, 150 macro, at f22, 1/13, iso 500. Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome.

Most exquisite, sensuous image, Scott, beautifully lit and composed. The curl of the petal near the centre gives this an added zing. Beautiful !!!

Scott - There is something to these Reds --> when I look at my portfolio, somehow some of the better shots have always had some shade of Reds in them.

I truly love this shade - it seems to be a wonderful mix of many shades of Reds like Crimson, Vermillion etc etc. The Center seems to impart a golden glow adding so much to the aesthetics.

Very eye catching !
