Svalbard Reindeer

This is a subspecies and to my eyes remarkably small, taken on the only day when we had usable sun on our entire trip. Unfortunately this is my wife's shot, I lent her a camera (her video had been severely damaged by a wave in a Zodiac)I was laid up on the boat after injuring my old hip, again
I hope this is not against any rules

Photos taken by wives of members who have a bad hip and are unable to take photographs shall be permitted. A most interesting photo at that, very cool how the one is on the outcrop and the other is giving us the eye. Love the warm light on the land with that icy sky. Perfect focal length selection imho. I think you could tweak the crop a little; maybe take a little from the left or add to the right and top to my eye?

Cool, I didn't know there was a subspecies on Svalbard. Neat image as well, although I do second Gary's crop suggestions.

Ken you should lend your wife a camera more often! The light is gorgeous as is the setting with the one being atop that rock.

Nice photo. Nothing new to add only that I do like the deer being on the rock.

These are one of the smallest sub-species of reindeer/caribou. In fact they may be the smallest. Very nice photo. I like the light they are in. Hope your hip is OK. Thanks for sharing.

My wife extends her thanks to everybody, but quite correctly blames the cropping on me
I have bought her a new video

Lovely light and two excellent subjects, very nice shot. They definitely look shorter and stockier than the reindeer I'm used to seeing. Wonderful capture!
