An image of a white-tail deer looking back over its shoulder as another bounds away in the background. Autumn (Nov.) at Paynes Prairie State Park, not in the prairie.

Canon 40D, 70-200 f/4 lens, ISO 640, f/8 1/100 sec

C&C welcome.

I like the look she's giving you. I might warm this up a bit with a little white balancing.

I like the pose and look of this deer as she thinks about what to do. The blurred running deer adds to the sense of danger being near. The feel of this picture is quite cool and I agree with Ronald that it could use some warming up, and possibly a touch more contrast and/or saturation.

Thanks to both Ronald & Carolyn,
It did need some warming, thanks for that suggestion, and see if you think this is better.

The repost is a big improvement. I'd be tempted to add even a little more saturation and contrast.

I like Carolyn's comment about the moving deer lending a sense of danger. The one looking at you looks pretty spooked.

The repost looks better, Paul, but I agree with Angela that you could probably add a bit more contrast and saturation.
