This Zebra was the first to "test the waters" crossing the Chobe River in Botswana, at sunset.

Awesome colour reflecting off the water surface here Ken. The image (the darks) look too washed out though. I do wish the green grasses were not there for a cleaner image, perhaps you did get that chance when the zebra walked further into the water?

The larger image must be viewed to get the full impact of this photo, I really like it I don't mind the green, but I think if the reflection was sharper the green grasses would distract. I like the sharpness of the zebra. I also would like to see more if you have them of this zebra crossing the water. Thanks for sharing.

This is striking against the background color. I might brighten the zebra's whites and remove some of the color there.

Awesome capture. A little tweaking and this would be perfect.

Works very well just as is for me Ken. I can relate to the muted tones and colors at this time of day. Love the color of the water and the nice details in the ripples at f8. Print and frame!

Lovely image Ken! Nothing to add from me, I just love the reflected sunset and the way it contrasts with the black and white of the zebra.

Ken, the water color is interesting. I like how the grass gives perspective about the zebra's location relative to land.

gorgeous colours Ken.
Composition wise I would be tempted to chop a bit from the LH side to reduce the amount of grass that is showing and create more 'walk into' space at the right.

Thanks everybody for your comments and suggestions. I actually like the grass because it gives "position".
I do have some more and will take a look when I get back from my "bored" meeting!

Beautiful pastel looking light. I like the nice detail recognition in the zebra. I like the grass, and I actually find myself wishing for more foreground.
Sweet One Ken!
