Collared Aracari
by Charles Gangas
Another of the recent images from La Selva. This Aracari was high up in the jungle canopy just off the main grounds when he began drifting down to feed. I had to reposition myself several times to get a clean shot, and I was also luckily afforded a little bit of light from behind the bird in an otherwise fairly dark jungle canopy.
Usual PP drill, I cropped a few isolated leaf stringers from behind the bird. Also bumped the ISO to reach this shutter speed-fortunately the bird stayed still.
