Prima Luce

The title is Latin for first light. I thought it appropriate for this as the first light of the day kisses Mears Peak above County Road 9 near Dallas Divide.

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Latin? You tryiin' to bring some class to this joint? Beautiful, Morris. I love all the different shades of fall color and the different stages of the same. Great light on the peak and the clouds wisps are a nice addition.

Thanks, Harley, but I'm not sure that's possible. :jump:

And, if it was, it wouldn't be me who could bring it.

Well, I just wish I would have been standing there next to you Morris, then maybe I would have a beautiful picture like this too. Probably not as nice as yours but even less could still be very nice. This is a beautiful scene and so well captured. I love the early light on the mountains and all the wonderful color. The snow adds a perfect touch. :toast:

Morris, love the touch of light on the snow covered peaks, and the beautiful autumn colors leading to it, definitely a pretty scene, and your composition works beautifully. Prima Luce, first light, I like that. Beautiful work.

Love the light striking the pinnacle area here, Morris. Hmmmm, .....I was near here a couple times but I cannot say that I recall which peak was which, they were all nice takes. The flowing variety of colors along the hillsides is a real plus on this one.

A beautiful image, Morris. The first light kiss adds a special element to the already gorgeous scene. Well done as always. By the way, thanks for the info on the digital grad. Chet

Morris, this is incredible. The range of color is amazing, from one end of the spectrum to the other, and your composition is perfect with those layers and diagonals and gentle curves leading the eye back to that touch of light on the peak. Exquisite. Love the title too.

True perfection. That's what that storm was, for the Colorado colors. I've seen so many renditions of it now by so many of you guys lucky enough to be there for this.....probably once in ten year conditions. Morris, yours have been first rate indeed and this is no exception. The balance here is wonderful and leads me all the way through.

Morris,

Strikingly beautiful. That touch of first light of course makes the image, but regardless, a beautiful mountain autumn landscape with a touch of winter.

Snow on fall color is such a nice treat. The variable color and patterns here really sing Morris.

This is great Morris, there are at least three seasons all at once here. Don't you just love fall in Colorado?

I love the way your eye follows the curves through the trees and ends in a gorgeously lit mountain peak. Beautiful composition and light!!

The thumbnail doesn't do this justice, Morris. The layers give this landscape a wonderful depth and I love the transition of seasons in the scene. Beautifully done.

Just a great image Morris. The layers, colors, and snow go together perfectly. Throw in the light on the mountain and you have it all. Wonderful job. :toast:

Snow, fall color and first light on the peak make this real nice Morris. The brighter yellow aspen on the left edge makes me want to see more on the left.

Mountain scenery at its best. Love the variety that has been captured here and presented in such a harmonious fashion. The fallen snow is such a lovely unifying element, scattered all over the landscape.

Morris: Whenever I need to calibrate my -meter I take a stroll through your gallery. What a gorgeous scene and superb capture. The light grazing the peaks put this over the top for me. I wouldn't mind a little less sky but this is pretty awesome as is. Many thumbs up! >=))>
