That Damsel

Folks,

Had made this over the last weekend. Some of you would have seen a earlier image with side view of the damesel. The lone damsel moved a few leaves on the same plant. Of course, did not stay here long either.

But then I got a frontal view, placed at a leaf a little inside the foliage. Light at about 45 degrees, and some obstructions which created shadows....of course me and my extn tubes

7D, 70 200 Extn, 200ISO, 6.3, 1/125, levels, smart sharpen..

full frame. Do c&c if any cropping can enhance this..

The short DOF has helped create attractive patterns & colors in the BG Balan.
One suggestion to improve would be to zoom in and brush/blend the lighter band, under the insects foot..

Cute little fellow, well captured, Balan. Lovely soft colors and nice light. I like the head on eye level perspective which accents the big green eyes. :toast:

I love the colours and the funny look the damsel gives you, Balan. Maybe it's my eyes, but doesn't the focus lie slightly in front of the eyes (feet/ edge of the petal)? Well presented centrally in this case. Nice one! :toast:
