Squirrels are susceptible to at least 2 species of mange mites. Squirrels with mange who frequent bird feeders run the risk of infecting other mammals. Extreme cases of mange can lead to death.

Poor guy. A larger sensor camera with a faster aperture would help isolate the squirrel from the background which is very distracting.

doesn't look like a very comfortable condition. Is it something the squirrel can recover from?
