Hoary Redpoll
by Ken Archer
Another photo from the Seward Peninsula in Alaska this June. One of our tour participants and I got up very early one morning in pursuit of the elusive Bluethroat. I am very happy and a bit envious my partner got several great shots of a beautiful male Bluethroat that morning, unfortunately my view was obstructed and the Bluethroat continues to be my nemeses arctic bird. But all was not a failure for me that morning, this handsome Hoary Redpoll stopped in for a quick look about.
