On a recent trip to MT, was able to get this TS with a clear BG. The bug is a plus IMO. A large crop so quality is impaired a bit. Comments always appreciated.

1DIV, EF600 +1.4, ISO 1000, f5.6, 1/640, Beanbag on car window, cloudy day, Applied Noise Reduction to BG.

It is a bit soft, but still not terribly degraded. The BG is to die for and the bird and perch are perfectly placed.

Hi Ralph,

I'm in agreement that the bug helps - nice of it to sacrifice itself for your shot!

The shot is simple and clean - which is always good. These guys can be tough to shoot - they don't tend to sit still for very long. I'm seeing a little noise in the background - but that would be real easy to clean up if you choose to do so.

Cheers...

Brad

Sweet shot of this lucky fellow Ralph, seems like a rare find for this time a year, for the bird that is.

Sweet Photo!
