Although I've found these birds fairly frequently, I've had little luck getting close for any length of time for a decent shot.

A lovely bird and nice colors and background. If this isn't a significant crop already I'd tighten it up a little from top and left. Very nice IQ all around, by the way.

Hi Chuck,

Nice capture of a beautiful specimen. The fine details make the image stand out; especially the eye and the red feathers. Well done.

Very striking bird, a really nice job exposing.
Great details and the berry-n-beak's a nice plus..
I agree with Rich if you have the pixels.
Well done :toast:

I'd add to your note on how hard these are to get in the open that they are also difficult to expose; detail in the blacks often results in blowing those electric reds in the rump. You've managed those challenges very nicely. Really fine work, Chuck.

Beautiful bird reminiscent of our red-winged BB's.
Love the berries and perch, clean BG and vibrant bird.
Well-done!
