Reflections

Shot this on an absolutely still, calm afternoon in north Alabama. I was camping up there for 4 days. the weather was beautiful when I first arrived on this afternoon, but then turned cold and very windy for most of my remaining time up there. Regardless, still enjoyed it immensely.

LARGE version available for better detail.

Your thoughts and comments always welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Real nice peaceful mood with this one, Bill. The reflections are superb and I like the fact that you did not let any of them merge with another.

I really like this Bill! I love the black on blue. The shapes of the twigs and their reflections look like birds.

It looks like there is a slight sharpening halo around some of the sticks. Also, don't crop this. The lack of symmetry and the blue gradient from bottom to top gives the reflections the space they need to fly.

Nicely seen!

Beautiful! The comp and color convey a sense of balance and peacefulness. There is a subtlety is every aspect of this image that makes it very appealing. I like that the sticks have not gone to silhouette and retain some detail. The water has a hint of texture and a light gradient that pulls the eye through the frame vertically. Sweet!

Definitely like this subtle little scene Bill, the color is cool, yet the mood is warm and calming, also like your composition, works beautifully.

Great composition and colors here Bill. I like that you retained some detail in the sticks and water. I like the comp as is. Very well done. :toast:

Bill, I like this alot! The blue tone works so nice and the branches having some color and detail (not silhouette) as David mentioned really adds to this image for me. I can also see a slight crop of the top as Stan mentioned too, but wonderful as is. Nice work on this!

A nice Zen feeling with this lovely image, Bill. I like the variety of "v's" throughout your comp. And, a beautiful shade of blue.

Very cool blue, Bill. It's a great minimalist view and the lack of symmetry in stick placement makes a neat contrast to the symmetric reflections.
