Trutle Creek Turns

The trees are turning this past week along Turtle Creek in uptown Dallas. This part of the creek is 150 yards from my front door.
Damp and dreary made for some subdued light.

Peaceful Thanksgiving to all :wavey:

Your composition in this image is pretty good, however I am having a hard time finding a "subject". I am not sure if you could get an image any further to the right but that might help make the river lead the eye a bit better. Overall I think that this is a well done image. Keep up the good work!

You've got a fine collection of colors in the trees and I do like the rock steps and the stream. I think a subtle warming would help make this feel more inviting and it would remove/reduce the blue cast from the stream and rocks.

Very nice scene with very nice colors and detail Rick. I too could see warming it up a bit but nice as it is.

Rick, as others have said, this could be warmed up some by dropping the blues. You might also consider a crop from the right, eliminating the crooked tree. This has a nice, soft mood to it.

Great fall scene & comp Rick. I especially like the water worn river bank RT, with its layers or 'steps'.
Enjoy this day of thanksgiving, best wishes to both you & your family :wavey:
